Autoresponder Tour Page 6Intro: Instructions on how to perform a split mailing for split testing your marketing message between your subscribers and how to mail out your messages according to your subscribers answers to your questions How to do a split mailingTo do a split mailing to all your subscribers click on the Do Split Mailing link in the Mail Management section of the main menu. You can do a split mailing to all your subscribers and mail two different messages to two different groups of your subscribers. This is great for testing response rates. The split mailing works like this: You have 500 subscribers, you enter 250 to send the first email to and the other 250 will get the second email you enter and send. Note the Click Here link which will show you the personalisation tags you can use in both messages and subject lines. Enter the first messages subject line and body and send it as plain text or HTML, then enter the second emails subject and body and select to send as plain text or HTML. Then just click the send email button. Mail by Custom QuestionsTo mail your subscribers based on their answer to a custom question you asked them, click on the Mail By Custom Fields link in the Mail Management section of the main menu. Select the Custom Question to send the mail by. Now enter the answer that you want to send this email based on. The email will be sent to all those that answered the question with the answer you entered. Click continue and enter the subject line and the message body in the spaces provided. Note the Click Here link, this will show you all the personalisation tags you can use in the subject and the message body. Now enter the subject line and the message you want to send and select to send as plain text or HTML, remember if you send an HTML email you must code your message like a web page. Now select to send this message as a Plain text email or an HTML email. Then click the Mail Now button. |
